Getting Started: Choosing Fabrics

Just a few months ago, I rearranged my living room. As a result, our well-loved decade old sofa is now on full display. It was time, I decided, to finally reupholster. Choosing the fabrics for the job was no small feat. It took repeat trips to the fabric store, the check-out and return of many fabric swatches and several hours of pondering and musing. As a result of the process I came away with a few learnings on how to build a balanced assortment of fabrics without breaking your heart along the way.
