Last week, I had the pleasure of attending Jingletweet, a physical meetup of virtual friends hosted by our good friend and BlogTour travel partner Stacey Bewkes of Quintessence and new friend Ridgely Brode of Ridgely's Radar. As if connecting with friends, yummy eats and drinks and a beautiful space wasn't enough of a draw, there were prizes. What fun! And in the scrum, I managed to come away with this gorgeous engraved desk calendar and brass easel from The Printery.
Though I won it by chance, it turns out it was the perfect gift for me. I have a paper obsession and also a love for great calendars. So that got me thinking. What would be my dream calendars for 2012? I shared my favorite desk calendars over on Momtastic yesterday and today wanted to show you my favorite wall versions.

I love the holiday season for its richness in traditions and rituals. I have many memories of sitting next to the fireplace and around the Christmas tree with laps covered by those L. L. Bean mainstays: the plaid woolen blanket. These days, I'm looking for ways to put those traditional pieces to new uses around my home.
Restrained and contained, plaid can certainly be simple and clean like this deep brown number which pulls together the equestrian-themed guest room below.

We are so excited to be partnering with the chic home design, flash sale website, Joss & Main. The curators collection will go live on December 6 at 9 p.m. ET* and is all about "Channeling Your Inner Kid." We wanted to show the fun and unexpected ways you can use whimsy and imagination in a home both on a small and oversized scale: clean & functional lines, creative pieces and just plain fun! Including pops of color was of the utmost importance too and reminded us of the fun Bleep color trend chosen by Mixx Magazine at 100% Design!
We invite you to become a member of Joss & Main by using this invite below (there is a waiting list, so use this invitation link to become a member today). Then they'll be sure to remind you when our sale goes live (Tuesday, 12/6) too because you'll get their daily emails about every fabulous sale they have.
When it comes to winter decorating, I love to surround myself with things that conjure up the season and a sense of comfort and warmth. This year, I've been inspired to consider something a little different than my usual choices of fragrant evergreens and sparkling silver: feathers. I love how they are at once luxurious and delicate and incredibly touchable. Here are a few of my favorite finds for incorporating them into my home.
I love this subtle feather wreath from Glam Home Design ($75) with its muted tones and touchable texture. It is reminiscent of this wreath from West Elm with which I became smitten while working on a piece about winter wreaths over on Momtastic.
