BlogTour 2011: The Best of the Rest

Our recent trip to London for BlogTour was such a wonderful time that Elise and I are both going through serious withdrawal. We miss our friends. We miss the sights. We miss having sponsors take care of our every whim. In reality, our memories are a bit of a blur. Kind of like this:

BlogTour 2011, Day 5: Decorex and Martin Hulbert

All too soon, it was the last of our days in London as part of BlogTour. Day Five took us to the much anticipated "interior design show for professionals," Decorex.

BlogTour 2011, Day 4: Brick Lane Markets and More

Day Four of BlogTour 2011 started with a rare find: free time! So after Elise found this spectacular map of London's markets, we headed back to the site of Tent London: Brick Lane. With Mollie Magill from Robin Baron's Simplifying Fabulous and Michelle Carangi of Holley & Gill, we walked through the stalls at Sunday UpMarket at the Old Truman Brewery and Backyard Market admiring (and even maybe buying) the food, clothing and accessories stalls.

BlogTour2011, Day 3: 100% Design Show

As we began our third day in London, we were excited to embark upon our second stop in London Design Week’s temporary exhibits. Our travels around London took us through the Underground as well as in many a taxi so our views to and from these shows were extremely iconic London.

Our official schedule was as follows: 100% Design visit with color trends seminar with a guided trends tour by Mix Magazine and podium discussion hosted by mydeco.com. 

Upon entry to 100% Design, we were greeted with a video display.

BlogTour 2011, Day 2: The Thames, Poggenpohl and Tent London

Day two brought more design events - but not before a morning walk along the Thames. It was a terrific opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful weather and reasonably cool temperatures as we took in a few of London's iconic landmarks.

We didn't have to go far for the first of these sites. Right next door to our hotel? St. Paul's Cathedral!

The view as we walked over the Thames bridge was sensational due to the early morning light dappling over the water and the London Bridge.
