Decoration and Design Building’s 2012 Fall Market: Bloggers on the Scene
Tuesday, October 2, 2012 We are excited to be part of the Bloggers Lounge again this year for the Decoration and Design Building’s 2012 Fall Market taking place October 10th & 11th in NYC. It will be our third time covering the market’s events, launches and general happenings all focused on the “culmination of pure design - and how it relates to the home.” Every season the market brings the best and brightest together to share, learn and collaborate on decoration and design.

The keynote agenda for Fall Market is filled with interesting panels and discussions in support of this market's theme, "Design Across Disciplines." With marquee designers and prestigious print publications, they are all sure to be informative and inspiring.
Some of the showrooms and events we look forward to checking out are the following:
Donghia Showroom-
Amanda Nisbet, interior designer and author of Dazzling Design, John Turner color expert from Benjamin Moore and Chuck Chewning, Creative Director of Donghia, will be discussing the important role of color in interior design.
Robert Allen-
Robert Allen has partnered with Dwell Studio to create a new fabric line: Global Modern Luxe II. The unique hand-drawn element found throughout the collection’s upholstery and multi-purpose fabrics brings a sense of authenticity and personality that reflects Dwell’s unmistakable aesthetic.
Kravet-
The Kravet and Jonathan Adler fabric collection will be on display in the Kravet Showroom. The collection reflects Adler’s colorful approach to design featuring bright, bold colors, retro patterns and happy designs.
Lee Jofa-
The Malika fabric collection by Lee Jofa comes from the ethnic inspired patterns of Turkey and Uzbekistan and consists of traditional ikats, rug patterns and embroideries reimagined in new techniques and applications. Lee Jofa is also launching a new upholstery line, WORKROOM, exclusively designed to be a custom, personal, bench-made upholstery workroom.
On a personal level, Mae is on the hunt for a cocktail table, decorative accessories, textiles for window coverings and lighting fixtures. She's particularly looking forward to seeing the new line of fabrics, Modern Color Theory, from the collaboration between DwellStudio and Robert Allen. Rich colors and bold prints? Yes, please!

Modern Color Therapy, blends the graphic sensibility of DwellStudio with the color expertise of Robert Allen. The patterns and motifs are unexpected and "intentionally imperfect," all executed in a sophisticated and rich color palette.
Elise is on the hunt for a desk, wall hangings, kitchen finishes and a statement chair! She is also looking forward to joining Baroncelli to toast the launch of the new home design and interiors magazine, billie.
And as always we are on the lookout for beautiful fabrics, exquisite lighting, rugs and any cool trends we spot while in the D&D Building.

The new online magazine, billie, might not be launched yet but they're already making their presence known on Pinterest. Check out the inspiration board curated by founder and editor-in-chief, Lili Diallo and you'll be crushing too.
We also look forward to checking in with our friends at Hyland Magazine who once again have planned a wonderful event for all of the Bloggers Lounge participants as well as our new “home base” hosts while we are at the Fall Market: Niedermaier and Pierre Frey.
We can’t wait to share all we see and do so make sure you are following us on Twitter and Instagram (both @hereinthishouse) for up-to-the minute updates while we are on the scene next week.
