Coveting: Sang and Serena

I first heard of Sang and Serena in one of my many readings ages ago. (Oh, to have had Pinterest back then!) When I saw their pieces for the first time, I was in love. You may remember that, as part of my work on my living room, I talked a bit about console tables and included Sang & Serena's writing table as my favorite and dream table.

I am absolutely desperate for this table. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, handmade in India and derived from natural materials to minimze impact to the environment. The artistry on display in the inlay is incredible. I mean, really, look at this:

And then, be still my beating heart, there's this dramatic view:

As recently as last night I had my tape measure out trying to make the size of this piece work for my living room. Though it really is a smidge too big for where I want to put it, I keep thinking (hoping?) that if I really put my mind to it, I could make it work. At some point, I may have to admit defeat.

If I did, I might have to settle (if you can call it that) for another one of their pieces somewhere else in my home. Maybe a chest for the entry (which I have yet to tackle):

Or maybe I could put one of the end tables in the sitting area I intend to add to the living room.

If nothing else, I'll get a tray to display some of my favorite objects when I eventually replace my coffee table.

No matter what, I am committed to getting something from this beautiful collection into my home. And while I'd be happy with anything, here's to hoping I can make that writing table work!
